SHCA's brief was to provide a built environment that reflected the brand values of performance, progression, innovation and green of this global oil company. Our design philosophy has been to create a light, transparent and flexible space, which encourages communication, collaboration and interaction for the senior staff. A variety of working areas were also provided on each floor to facilitate team and group work sessions.
SHCA's design philosophy was to create a light, transparent and flexible space, which encourages communication, collaboration and interaction for the senior staff. A variety of working and meeting areas were also provided on each floor to facilitate team and group work sessions. Previously, senior management staff were located in separate, closed-in offices of various sizes. SHCA designed personal work areas of the same size with sliding glass doors and fully glazed fronts to stimulate connectivity and communication.

Other notable features included an 'open information centre' designed to stimulate global links, integrating space and technology, creating a portal for internal and external interaction. An important aspect of the client's objectives was for the fit-out to respect the existing 'feel' of the property, an award-winning interior for the Swedish telecom company Ericsson.
