Craft a multi-faceted environment for luxury jewelers that fosters artistic inspiration, supports business functions and ensures a high level of security.
Luxury jewelry design company David Yurman commissioned SHCA to provide strategic planning and interior design services for its 30,000 sq ft (2,790 sq m) New York headquarters expansion. The company's general offices, conference rooms, design studios, jewelers' shop and showroom are spread over three floors.

A phased leasing schedule for the space posed a challenge to the design team. SHCA developed multiple schemes to incorporate space as it became available over an 18-24 month period, ensuring a smooth transition into the new work environment for all staff.

The precious gems with which David Yurman's jewelers work require high security. Special consideration was given to the unique security needs of the client and had a direct impact on the programming and structural design of the new space.
