Creating a sense of "Unity" between staff was the concept conceived by Deloitte when embarking upon the development of it's London campus of buildings.
Within an intensive 2 year programme, SHCA participated in the interior design and refurbishment of Hill House, Stonecutter Court and Athene Place with a combined area of 38,089 sq m (410,000 sq ft). All buildings remained occupied and operational throughout the refurbishment works. Close collaboration between our team and the architects of Deloitte's new London HQ building was crucial to the creation and successful delivery of consistent corporate branding, design and planning standards throughout the London campus. In order to encourage staff (many of whom are transient) to make full use of each building, and to encourage a community atmosphere, each building was allocated a 'heart' in the form of key amenities such as staff dining, staff gym and central reprographics, requiring major services infrastructure reviews and upgrade works. All building receptions have been fully refurbished to achieve brand consistency.

Particular challenges successfully overcome by our team include the formulation and implementation of an extremely complex programme of phased works and staff move sequences, the careful and consistent monitoring of expenditure against budget allocations (especially important and challenging within the context of refurbishment projects), and participation in Deloitte's staff communication programme.
