Co-developed by Wates City of London Properties and the Deutsche Bank Group, the building is occupied by DBG as their London Headquarters. The building contains 44,600 sq m (480,000 sq ft) of trading floors, high quality offices and retail at ground floor. The building seeks to provide a memorable contribution to the architecture of the City of London and has been awarded a Civic Trust Award.
Deutsche Bank Group, in partnership with Wates City of London, commissioned SHCA to design its London headquarters at Winchester House. The 44,600 sq m (480,000 sq ft) building responds to the multiple needs of a large financial organisation by providing nearly column-free office floors. Included in the project are three trading floors which are capable of accommodating up to 600 dealers per floor.

The facade of the building is designed to follow the profile of the existing historic streets and its scale and detailing create a modern interpretation of the surrounding historic context. Black anodized aluminum windows and ornamental metalwork are juxtaposed with the warm French limestone. The depth expressed in the exterior wall and the projecting cornice gives the building a visual rhythm and modulation when viewed on the oblique along the adjacent streets.
