SHCA was selected for this law firm project for our creative design capabilities, experience in the legal sector and strong local presence. Natural daylight and a warm palette of materials create visual clarity and an ambience of well being for all users.

This relocation project was an opportunity for Dewey & LeBoeuf to reconsider all the aspects of their working environment including the image of the firm, typical office configuration, support spaces and client receiving facilities.

Our role on this project included all phases from building selection to interior design, furniture selection and construction administration. Through an intense and interactive design process with client representatives and consultants based in Paris, London and New York, SHCA were able to develop a scheme that met both the functional requirements of a law firm as well as creating a strong design statement to set the standard for a new generation of Dewey & LeBoeuf offices.

Occupying three floors of a typical 19th century Parisian building, the major challenge of the project was to provide a harmonious and coherent working environment within the complex floor plates. Maximising natural daylight to enable the full use of the floors was paramount to the success of the project. A bespoke fully glazed partitioning system was developed with integrated sliding screens to enable privacy for the lawyers and maximise daylight for inboard administrative staff. The client meeting areas integrate flexibility and technology. Mobile walls, sophisticated lighting and ceiling designs and high tech audiovisual equipment provide a full range of meeting and reception scenarios.
