Make a home for the client in every sense of the word, designing all aspects of the luxury apartment from the grandest gesture to the smallest detail.
This renovation to the residence of one of SHCA's corporate clients offered a rare opportunity to craft an interior from the grandest gesture to the smallest detail.
SHCA designed all of the furniture and finishes; added substantial woodwork, including an English Brown Oak paneled study and extensive custom cabinetry in the master bedroom; removed a raised floor in the living room and master bedroom; and reworked all existing wall and floor finishes. In addition, mechanical systems were updated and structural reinforcement provided for the installation of a full-sized safe. A custom shower enclosure and all new fixtures and finishes were installed in one bathroom.
Advised by the project team, the client purchased museum-quality art by Marc Chagall, Diego Rivera, Jackson Pollack, Henry Moore and August Rodin. Truly making the house a home, SHCA designed table and bath linens, selected decorative accessories, flatware, china service, bed linens and cookware.
