Our aim was to transition newly merged companies from very traditional workplaces to a new single location and develop a new workplace that reflected GSK's corporate vision. Our approach involved all staff in establishing the new GSK workplace of the future.
When Glaxo and SmithKline Beecham merged, the 3,500 staff were housed in five separate buildings; each had different space standards, different grade assignment cirteria and very different workplace environments.

Our post occupancy survey established that the workplace design has aided the physical merger and resulted in high levels of staff satisfaction. The project is a spectacular success and has been critically acclaimed.
