Design a new residential community that offers three distinct housing options at various scales, all connected by an expansive park and public amenities.
This proposed residential neighborhood is inspired by 'community' and offers a welcome alternative to adjacent developments. An expansive linear park links three residential areas and accommodates pedestrians and bicycles exclusively. Public areas, including playgrounds and a pond, are located along the park. A social club, located at the front of the development, is the heart of the park and serves as a gateway to the community.
Three residential unit types are proposed. "The Terraces" are single-loaded, four-story structures nestled into rolling hills on the eastern and western edges of the site. All of the units have southern exposure and large terraces. "The Townhouses" line the pedestrian mall and walkways, creating an urban energy. These units have double exposure with primarily southern views for the living rooms and terraces. "The Villas" feature private gardens, individual garages and roof terraces. They are situated on the northern edge of their respective plots to maximize southern exposure for private gardens and the living quarters. The one-story garage is used to enclose the garden and its roof becomes a roof terrace for the master bedroom.
