KPMG's vision is for a best in class flexible workplace to support their business, their people and clients. We developed a concise brief with a clear workplace strategy and design aspirations.
KPMG had historically occupied several buildings in London, fragmenting its markets and functions. A decision was taken to consolidate a large proportion of the firm in a single new development at Canary Wharf. SHCA was appointed as lead design consultant to provide the following services:
- Base building evaluation and architectural modifications to developers' proposals;
- Develop a business-focussed flexible workplace strategy;
- User engagement and workplace change communications;
- 400,000 sq ft (3,700 sq m) interior design fit-out.

Following the business stakeholder engagement, we developed a three year change communications plan to inform, engage and build enthusiasm for this major relocation project.
The building has no private offices, instead 12 floors of high quality open plan space support flexible work styles. The designs high sustainability performance has resulted in achieving a BREEAM Excellent rating.
