This premier real estate and development firm, based in New York City, commissioned SHCA to redesign its 11,000 sq ft (1,022 sq m) executive offices. The client requested a modern aesthetic that would not belie its rich history, and a high level of office security.

Designers created an elevator lobby that doubles as a checkpoint for guests. An ingenious wood and glass sculptural collage decorates the entrance and reception area. A hidden wooden pocket door intersects with the collage, securing the space.

Cost effective, pre-fabricated furniture with some custom millwork suggests a completely bespoke project and is contemporary yet warm. In addition, lighting and office fronts were specially designed to highlight the client's existing art collection.
