Continuing on a 35 year relationship, Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy commissioned SHCA to further expand their occupancy at 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza. Having always commissioned the highest quality designs and materials, Milbank had renovated their spaces over recent years, but never had the need to re-design them. The new floor has offered an opportunity to re-evaluate standards and consider where the legal services profession is currently and will be in the years to come.
With the inclusion of glass in the associate office fronts, break-out areas and collaboration spaces, the new design addresses both the established perimeter office standard and a more contemporary attitude towards a collaborative and dynamic work environment. A large pantry/lounge area has been carved out of core space and offers employees a respite from their daily tasks. It also provides a forum in which impromptu meetings and gatherings can occur. A state of the art training room provides the ability for Milbank to maintain their dedication to their legal staff's on-site resources and continuing education.
