Blending landscape and architecture, exterior and interior, the design creates a dramatic mixed-use leisure and retail destination in Moscow.
The proposed Moscow Ocean Park complex, developed by Marine Gardens, will be the largest mixed-use leisure/retail destination in Russia with a total area in excess of 200,000 sq m (2,150,000 sq ft) on a 4-hectare site. Situated on the edge of the open and elevated Victory Memorial grounds of Poklonnaya Gora, the complex will provide an exceptional experience for locals and visitors.

Architecturally, the new complex frames impressive vistas, including the major landmarks of Moscow State University, Christ the Savior Cathedral and Shukhov's Radio Tower. This new perspective will encourage viewers to reinterpret the familiar skyline.

SHCA's proposed scheme literally grows out of the ground, with gradually tilted grass planes shaping the site. These planes conceal many of the complex's functions underground. This approach envisions the complex as a landscape rather than a traditional building.

A slanted, transparent glass facade defines the main entry into the shopping mall and aquarium. Reflecting the city, it effectively blurs the lines between exterior and interior. The adjacent plaza is intended to be an interactive playground.
