The design concept for this project was to move forward from a traditional law firm design. The monochromatic colour scheme, the attention to detail and carefully selected materials create a high performance workplace that supports our client's business.
The New York law firm Proskauer Rose asked SHCA to design their new 3,300 sq m (35,500 sq ft) Paris offices after a series of mergers necessitated a move to new and larger premises. As a symbol of this exciting phase of development for the firm, the local partnership asked SHCA to create a design concept that clearly differentiated from typical law firm design.
Our SHCA Paris team proposed a modern but classic design model that although considered innovative for a law firm, is reassuring by its references to design icons of the past. The black and white theme creates a striking but professional working environment further accentuated by attention to detail and the use of carefully selected materials. Lighting, audiovisual and acoustic design form an integral part of the architectural approach to create a high performance workplace and business tool.
