Provide real estate consulting, strategic space planning and interior design for the new US headquarters that raises the brand awareness of this international news service.
International news service Reuters America retained SHCA to develop a strategic space requirements program to consolidate its eastern regional offices. The client wanted a highly visible headquarters building to increase its brand recognition in the USA and reinforce its image as a forward-looking, cutting edge technology company.

SHCA evaluated 25 existing Reuters locations throughout the New York metropolitan area. Three scenarios, along with cost benefit analyses, were presented to the client: staying in all current locations, partial consolidation of space, and relocating all 1.6 million sq. ft. of occupancy.

In a bold move, Reuters opted to consolidate space and become the anchor tenant at No. 3 Times Square in Manhattan. SHCA continued as Reuters advocate for the tenant requirements in the base building design and designed the 720,000 sq ft (67,000 sq m) fit-out of the building.
