Reflect the client's commitment to environmental issues and the US market in the design of a headquarters office, which also supports the diverse working styles of American and European professional staff.
One of the world's foremost construction groups, Skanska had initiated a search for new office space in Manhattan. The company sought to communicate its commitment to sustainability through a new work environment that met at least a Silver LEED certification. In addition, a new space would reinforce Skanska's commitment to the US and the New York market and consolidate its growing staff. Along with general office space, the new work environment needed to include support spaces such as training and conference rooms.
SHCA delivered a detailed program of requirements that supported a real estate search in Manhattan. It also responded to the different needs and work styles of professional staff from both America and Sweden.
