Our client requested a unique building that respected its immediate location and made a significant contribution to New York's famed skyline. SHCA shaped the northeast side of the tower to complement the adjacent IBM World Headquarters. The sawtooth faceting of the tower's mass distinguishes the residential character of the building and provides different views from every room of the condominiums.
Warm bronze reflective mirrored glass wraps the exterior. Fragmenting the tower facade with the mirrored glass enhances its mass and accents its strong verticality. The building's sculptural form provides a collection of dramatic, architectonic cascading terraces.
Built on a relatively small lot parcel of 0.8 acres, the building is the successful result of one of the most complex zoning packages ever undertaken in New York City.
