Working within a multi disciplinary team we developed the space requirements brief and technical characteristics to assist with identifying the most suitable building. In parallel, through a process of consultation with management and staff groups we developed a user workplace strategy incorporating new ways of working.
The resulting Cat-B fit-out of the building provides workspace that is space efficient and fit-for-purpose, with a choice of work spaces within an open-plan arrangement. The interior design is contemporary, using sustainable materials. The existing finishes of the lift lobbies and reception were refurbished to complement the interior image. The building services were enhanced to upgrade the pre-existing BREEAM 'Very good' status to 'Excellent'.
The project was completed on time and within the modest construction budget. User feedback indicates high levels of satisfaction. It has been recognised by Creative Sheffield as one of the City's best Grade A office accommodation.
